The twittersphere nearly exploded with CBB hash tags last night. Let’s just say, if it’s not your thing, you’ll probably want to stay away from most social media channels for the next few weeks!

We’re not overly enamoured with it ourselves, but we do like to see who’s going in and what they’re wearing. It wasn’t actually until the main show had finished that we spotted our favourite outfit of the night by far. The gorgeous Emma Willis, presenter of the sister show CBB Bit on the Side, was a vision in red. With its round neck, skater style skirt and bell sleeves, we were instantly in love!

twitter is full of fabulously friendly and knowledgeable tweeters, and no sooner had we put out a plea to know where it was from, did the answer miraculously appear in our newsfeed. The eagled eyed @LovelysVintage told us it was by McQueen, and not only that but it had been seen out and about in the celeb world before!

We can’t find a pic of the gorgeous Emma Willis in it yet, but the dress is Roses Chenille Jacquard Dress by Alexander McQueen. And it get’s better, we’ve found it – and it’s in the sale! MatchesFashion.comhave it for a whopping 30% off…….it’s now only £1,274!

Just a tad out of our price range, so for now we’ll settle for seeing who you think wore it best:

Rebecca Ferguson kept it simple with side swept hair, nude heels and minimal jewellery

Get Inspired - Cupcakes & Candyfloss

This amazing look is created by one of our favourite professional makeup artists; Karla Powell.

We asked her where she got her inspiration from and she told us….”I like to think all things are edible in my crazy imagination, so I have pushed the creative boundaries by incorporating different elements of food into my art, and come up with my Food Project. Creating makeup and hair looks inspired by different food themes. There’s nothing like food to fuel my imagination, and I believe food inspires my makeup creations. I created candy floss hair, sugar lips and pink and blue eyes- all colours and textures that I love to see on pretty cupcakes! Any editing is standard beauty editing, and we use the same techniques that we use for any other beauty shoots. Makeup artists across the world are now using a food-inspired colour palette, and we might draw inspiration from food images and textures in real life makeup too. It’s also seen at fashion week alot.”

So how do you create a look like this? Karla gives us her step-by-step guide:

  • Kryolan Ultra Cream foundation- In TV White 2 buffed and stippled in the skin for a flawless finish, set with Translucent powder
  • Kryolan Supra Color Interferenz Palette for blue and pink eyes set with matching powders to set the eyes.
  • Kryoan Supra Color in shade R21 for lips and cheeks set with pink powders.
  • Lips were then finished with Sugar Crystals used on cakes.
  • Kryolan Cine-wax,Spirit gum, Sealor for eyebrow blocking. The brows were then lined with eyebrow pencil for definition of strokes.

Are you daring enough to recreate this look yourself? We can’t wait to show you more of Karla’s fantastic creations!
