Anyone else looking in the mirror and seeing their tired, red eyes looking back at them? Sporting some impressive dark circles? Well, so are we! 2012 was the year of the late night, and we can definitely see it in our eyes.

Even when we’re not burning the candle at both ends, hours of staring at computer screens, late nights and dry eyes, has meant we will bite the hand off of anyone who has a product that may help soothe our poor peepers!

Using eye drops does often help (buy proper opthalmic grade ones, not the cheapies for best results) but when we were sent these eyeSlices, we couldn’t wait to try them out. The best way to describe them in our opinion, is synthetic cucumber slices for the eyes! We’ve all heard how cool cucumber slices can reduce puffiness and help with dryness, but imagine them being reusable and infused with active ingredients to specifically target those pesky eye issues. That is essentially what eyeSlices are.

Made of cryogel polymer, these little slices feel similar to jelly. We wouldn’t describe them as slimy, but they are a little bit wet, especially on first use. You remove them from the sealed packets for the first use and then can apply them straight to your eyes. The beauty is, you don’t need to refrigerate them before use, they’re cool straight from the pack. You can use each pair up to 10 times and they have a two week shelf life before they need to be binned. They come in a cute case for storage, which is really good for popping in your handbag so you can use them when you’re out and about – only if you haven’t got eye makeup on though!

We used our pair a number of times, both straight from the pot and after having popped them in the fridge, and we absolutely love them! They’re so soothing, it’s like an immediate aaaahhhhhh! They adhere quite easily to the skin so you don’t have to worry about them slipping off.

After you remove them they leave a very slight residue, so rinse your face before applying any creams or makeup. Our eyes felt refreshed and less red and dry with each use. We think they’re great for popping on after a day at work, or as part of your going out routine.

There are four different types of eyeSlices; HappyEyes, LegendaryEyes, InVogueEyes, LegendaryEyes, all targeting different areas. A pack, including the clam shell case, is priced at £13 here.

Quite pricey for a cucumber replacement, but remember, they last for up to two weeks and can be used 10 times. We would suggest you look at them as more of a replacement or enhancement for your eye cream, as these will probably have more effect!

Let us know if you have any other wonder products for tired, dry and red eyes. We’ll love you forever!
